In recent weeks, we’ve had a few days when the weather has been mild enough to take our puppy out for a walk by the shoreline. What surprises us is her reaction to it. Even when the water is calm, the line where the water meets the land moves slightly, pulsating. But she is used to the ground being stable and seems a little confused about this moving line and surface that the shore presents. She barks at it but in a playful way. She steps into the water but with caution, unsure about it but willing to check it out. I look forward to the summer when she’ll discover all the benefits of being near the shoreline during our walks.
