The Practice of Tuning

The name of this project, this blog and this space, is “Tuning.” The choice of the name stems from the belief that society functions much like a musical ensemble, capable of creating beautiful music. Just like a musical instrument, maintaining this beauty requires consistent care – a practice I liken to tuning.

Tuning is an ongoing process. Is can be a daily ritual or weekly. No matter the cadence, it requires active listening – both to others and oneself.

We need to pause and appreciate when we are resonating with each other. And we need to find grace in moments of dissonance. Sometimes we fall out of tune. It happens. It’s natural. Luckily we have the skills and motivation to make adjustments and get back to it.
