6. Change the Season

Yesterday was Christmas Day and we spent a good bit of time at the park — first hiking in the woods and then playing down by the shoreline. It was 50 degrees and sunny in Upstate NY. And while a good piece of my heart ached about climate change, another piece is interested in how we adapt.

When a team is working on a complex project, it can be easy to get stuck on the original idea, forcing fit, bending over backwards to make something work.

We can get unstuck by introducing a change. Introducing a change helps us stretch our imagination to explore a wide array of possibility. Changing the season, the time of day, the weather, the amount of light can change how we think about things.
