Where we come from, what we do right now, and where we are going

SaLisa Berrien is the Founder and CEO of COI Energy— a clean energy company whose name stands for “Circle of Influence.”

In a circle of influence, we look to the left and we know where we came from. We use that insight to figure out what we can do right now. And when we look to the right, we look ahead and steer for where we are going.

SaLisa knew where she came from – she experienced energy poverty as a kid. She believed in what she could do right now – become and engineer and start an energy-for-good company. SaLisa knows where her customers are going – her business customers are reducing their energy footprint in commercial buildings and saving money. And the energy poor families who receive that savings through her kW for Good program can focus their own “energy” on bigger and better things now that the lights are on.
